Drawsheet

THE DESIGN: Our Drawsheet is made of durable white cotton measuring 36” x 62” with hemmed edges. There are no special handling instructions – the Drawsheet can be washed and reused over and over again.

WHO CAN BENEFIT: The Drawsheet is used for patients who require assistance when turning. When used in conjunction with the EasyTurn, the Drawsheet will reduce the strain on the Caretaker’s back and shoulders and the patient will experience less friction and shear forces on their skin.

INSTRUCTIONS: First, the EasyTurn (or GentleTurn) should be placed on the mattress and tucked in on each side of the bed. Next, the Drawsheet should be placed on top of the EasyTurn (or GentleTurn) and the patient should lay directly on the Drawsheet. When the Caretaker is ready to reposition the patient, the Drawsheet should be pulled slowly toward the Caretaker and, if necessary, the patient can be repositioned on their side.

NOTE: For patients who are susceptible to developing bedsores or pressure sores, the Caretaker should perform repositioning every 2 hours throughout the day.
